Commonly Treated Conditions & cases

Common Conditions treated with the Acuscope and Myopulse Therapy System for horses and dogs

Since the late 1980's the Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse Therapy System has been used extensively in the treatment of both large and small animals. It has been successfully applied to a wide range of neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions commonly affecting animals and animal athletes participating in every discipline of competition. This therapy system has also been utilized to provide a non-invasive form of pain management, and when used properly will created an accelerated recovery rate of 50% or more.

The Animal Calibrated Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse Therapy System has been used across a wide range of disciplines in the equine and canine industries that include:

Racing (all breeds), Harness and Barrel Racing, Roping, Cutting and Reining, Dressage, Jumping, Show Horses, Cross-Country/Eventing, Polo, Endurance, Sled Dog Racing (endurance and sprint), Field Trial Dogs, Agility Dogs, Show Dogs, Weight Pull Dogs, and many more.

In the equine and canine performance industries, injuries frequently occur. According to recent studies, 13-18% of all equine athletes sustain a soft tissue injury every year. In addition to soft tissue injuries there is also a high rate of bony injuries and conditions that are diagnosed every year, along with neurologic conditions, and wounds.

Injury can result in an inability to perform competitively, as well as shorten the performance life of an animal's career .Acute injuries often become chronic problems if not handled immediately and correctly. Without proper treatment, seemingly minor problems may become seriously complicated when further detriment to the tissue is caused. The "conditions overview" is a list of some of the most common conditions which have been treated successfully with the Animal Calibrated Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse Therapy System, and well documented by Veterinarians and Animal Therapists for over 30 years.

The Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse Therapy System is an FDA-approved microcurrent modality that was originally created for use on humans. Years later, these instruments became available for animal applications through the animal calibration option. The animal calibration was developed to address the differences of cellular function, anatomy, and physiology between human and animal patients in order to provide safe and effective treatment regiments.

This unique therapy system has been used in physical therapy clinics, doctors' offices, hospitals, and in professional sports throughout the country since 1978. Molly Wells has utilized this therapy system in professional sports since 2010 though her sports division, Elite Athletic Consultants. Through this division, she has worked with players from 26 MLB organizations and 15 NFL organizations proving the legitimacy of this technology.

Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse Therapy compliments traditional veterinary procedures to ensure a quicker recovery for the animal, however it is not intended to replace proper veterinary care. It is always recommended that Certified and Professional Animal Acuscope Therapists work under Veterinary referrals and authorizations.
